HAPHousing at Work:
Housing Under Development

HAPHousing is currently working on a variety of new projects, including:

Butternut Farm, Amherst is new construction of 26 units of family rental housing. HAPHousing has secured permits and financing. Construction is expected to start early in 2010.

Cady Brook Apartments, Charlton is the acquisition and rehabilitation of a distressed privately owned 40-unit family housing project. HAPHousing will assume an existing USDA Rural Development mortgage and has secured other state financing commitments. Construction is expected to start early in 2010.

Stevens Memorial Building, Ludlow involves conversion of a brick building (originally a factory, most recently used as the Boys and Girls Club) into 28 units of rental housing for seniors. HAPHousing has been named preferred developer by the Town of Ludlow and is now assembling financing, including HUD 202 and various state sources.

Senior Housing, Holland is in early development. The Town of Holland has named HAPHousing as preferred developer of a site located next to the Senior Center. HAPHousing is assembling financing from sources that include various state sources to build 20 new units of rental housing for seniors.

Rehabilitation of Foreclosed Properties, Springfield is a targeted effort to acquire and rehabilitate foreclosed properties that will be for sale to first-time homebuyers after the rehabilitation is complete. HAPHousing has secured financing to purchase 16 units of foreclosed properties in target Springfield neighborhoods and is in the process of acquiring various parcels.
